I have bought a new wheel, and i am having great difficulty removing the rotor from my old wheel, any tips that might aid removal?

Hot water poured over the bolts helps (it softens the threadlock)

Also be aware that there are 2 types of bolt used to hold a rotor onto the hub, regular hex (Allen key ) & Torx bolts (Star shaped)

I had a mare of a job changing my disc on Friday. The bolts were well and truly happy where they were. They stripped before they were anywhere near coming loose.

In the end, I resorted to getting a socket that nearly fitted over the bolt heads, and hammering it onto the bolt head. Once that was in place, I used a rubber mallet to whack the ratchet anti-clockwise to crack (loosen) the bolt.
    That did the trick.
