What rims do you have? Generally yes, but if your rims are 17mm internal widh, the tyre will be very rounded in profile.
Also need to make sure there is frame clearance.0 -
Assuming the rims are wide enough, you'll want to check frame/fork clearance. They might clear the frame, but then reduce your mud clearance to nothing! Not really any way to find out than to try it, or find another Avalanche 1 owner who had tried it."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

Ah, an Avalanche! They are quite tight at the back end.0

Thanks for the quick reply
Just checked my rims are 26' 559x16...if that makes sense?
Going off what supersonic is saying...yes does look abit tight!!
Might just put the same size on then...dont want to waste money on wider tyres and they dont fit!!

16 is very narrow! I would say not to go for 2.35. Be aware that different manufacturers tyres often measure up different for a given size ie Continental are quite small. A conti 2.3 may be fine.0

Agree with Supersonic above; the fit might be tight. However manufacturer's widths don't always ring true. My 2.35 High Rollers are not as wide as my friend's Specialized 2.0s for example.0
