Best London shop for test rides?

Is there any bike shop in London that people would recommend as being particularly good/helpful when it comes to test rides?

Ideally, I'd like to compare a Tricross with a selection of similar models from different manufacturers and a Giant SCR in the same price range.

Evans in The Cut, near Waterloo Station, were very helpful when I tested a few last year & they have a big selection.

Well, the biggest Evans store is in the City of London, by Liverpool St. Station, however I've never seen anyone test riding there - If The Cut do test rides, there's no reason the other stores shouldn't too.
Tends to be busy in the week, so avoid lunch times.

I always find Condor very good for test rides, however I think you're limited to Condor's own brand bikes, and you really need to ring in advance to forewarn them that you're interested in a bike, and your approx. size.
Very useful, as I ended up buying a carbon/ally hybrid, and not a full carbon frame, having tested out two at the same price point, to discover I actually preferred the ally frame!

Recently went with a friend to London Field Cycles in Hackney. They were happy to let her out on a couple of bikes for a test ride. They stock Specialized and Trek, but to tell you the truth I didn't have a good look around so can't tell you what else they have. They were nice and friendly and helpful.
    Hope this helps.
