Scott scale 30 or Marin indian fire trail

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my 07 Marin nail trail.
I use my bike daily, 70 % road use 30 % XC, I would like to stick with a hard tail and I have narrowed my short list to the Scale 30 or the Iindian fire trail.
At the moment the Scott is winning me over being lighter with better components, however I can get a decent Part exchange on the Marin.
Your thoughts would be appreciated, and I would be grateful if there are any other bikes I should consider.

I was originally looking at the IFT but I decided on a GT Zaskar Carbon Expert instead. So, although obviously biased, that would be the one I'd go for.0
