Chain reaction cycles customer service?

Are CRC any good for cust service? My first puchase from them hasn't turned up in the mail, and I've had no reply to 2 e-mails. the phone is constatnly engaged. Now they've been aroudna while and peopel seem to have liked them but without contact I'm tempted to just get the credit card company onto them.
What are others experiences (good or bad?)

bought a replacement shifter from them a week ago; arrived very promptly indeed. No experience beyond that though0

Ordered quite a bit of stuff from them and never had a problem. Usually been next day delivery as well - providing I placed the order early enough in the day.
On that basis, I would thoroughly recommend them, as their prices are usually one of the most competitive, and they don't charge for postage.
That said, I have never needed to contact them because I have not experienced any problems.

I've had good experiences with their CS. I could not fault them on that at all.
I bought a lock a while ago that was faulty, difficult to open and close. I got in touch with them and they said no problem, just send it back. I then put a little oil in the lock and worked better for a while.... eventually I just stopped using it and when I decided to send it back I could not find their email anyway, got in touch with them again and they changed it for me.

I've bought a lot of stuff from them (maybe 40 orders) and they've been very good. When they do mess up they usually sort it out properly and quickly.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0

I have ordered a fair amount of stuff from them and udually they are fantastic and get stuff to you next day if possible, however I recieved some puncture repair patches through the post last week that I ordered before Christmas!!!
Obviously an odd one out but normally they are great,

Ordered a goodridge braided brakeline kit. Arrived in Tenerife within 10 days. For this place, and going through customs, that's very quick in my opinion.0

Never had a problem - only once have goods not turned up next day, although site said it had been posted. Even then though it only took 3 days.Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0

Excellent service when ordering, very quick delivery and very good prices. But I've had to wait 6 weeks so far for a warranty claim to be sorted.... and not the best at answering email.0

An update - I got an e-mail today. Apparently the package was returned by royal mail (who never left a failed delivery card), and I have been refunded to my card.
So cust service is slow but OK. It is the e-mail silence and permenantly engaged phone that had me worried.
I've re-ordered (CRC seem to be the only web supplier of the FSA SL chain) so will see if the postie can get his act together this week.
Thanks for input into the thread from fellow posters, I'll probably avoid CRC in future unless they have something I can't get elsewhere for a comparable price.0 -
I've ordered off them a lot. In my experience stuff is generally well priced and delivery is fast and trouble free (free delivery of anything in Ireland is a big plus over Wiggle for stuff under £50.) Most of the time (not always) they turn out cheaper than any other UK bike shop for the stuff they carry, even considering my 10% personal discount with Wiggle.
I've returned stuff for quick refund no problem.
However it can be difficult to contact them; they don't reply to emails and you have to sit on the phone pressing redial. Wiggle (and many other retailers like Bikeplus and Dotbike) by contrast reply quickly and are a lot easier to deal with in this regard.0
