Having had two mountain bikes stolen from my garage/store I have bought myself a datatag for my new bike. I am wondering whats the best way to install the transponder as its very small - almost the size of a grain of rice. Does anyone know an easy way of installing it properly without damaging it?

    bumped up

been watching this hoping someone would reply as i've been thinking of getting it myself.

presumably there are no instructions ?
Morning route (when i don't get the train)

    Evening route ,
  • Take the seatpost off, have a look inside the frame to see if there is a hole where the top tube has been welded to the seat tube.

If there is, put the transponder in the top tube with some epoxy resin (Don't glue it into the seat tube for obvious reasons!).

    Hope this helps...

Alternatively, if you can reach the join of the top/main tubes then pop it a few inches into the top tube or whip the bottom bracket out and pop it into the main tube.
