why? it is NOT an upgrade. they may work if there are no tabs on the pads to catch on the carrier."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

If you want to upgrade you could consider larger rotor(s) or new/different pads, depending on what you have atm.- Kona Hot '96 - Marin Rift Zone '09 - Cannondale Synapse Carbon '06 - Kona Caldera '98 - Kona AA '94 - Dawes Kickback II - Cannondale BadBoy '11 - Genesis iOiD SS -0

so hope rotors are 4 hope set up's only..
so wots the diff between floating and normal performance wise..
so would id be better of getting sintered pads instead of afloating rotor

it all depends on why you want to change."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

i feel the brakes are a bit soft / spongy since doing snowdon a few wk back so taken to my LBS for sum goodridge braided hoses while i was there seen some hope floating rotors thinkin why not fit some of these ( bling )
or just uprate to 203mm but are these over kill use rig 4 xc but also want decent anchors..

if the brakes were spongy then a check of caliper alignment and if ok and still excesivly spongy a bleed.changing hoses and disc will do Zip. good ridge hoses can increase hand fatigue do yo more force needed to get the lever to move. But each to there own.
yes the hose mat reduce the feel but changing rotors will do nothing."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

hopefully it will be sorted then after they've changed the hoses and bleed them
if not might upgrade the front to the old 4 pot xt caliper
thanks for the advice m8

The thing with the Hope floating rotors is that they are supposed to dissipate heat better - but to be honest it's not a noticeable thing - like you say, bling bling. But, they will work with Shimano.
To be fair, the new Shimano brakes are very damned good, but I hear where you're coming from on the squidgyness, does seem to be a bit of a common trait. Getting some Goodridge will reduce a lot of this feel, but as Nick says, the rotors will do squat for this.
You'd be better off sticking a 203 rotor on the front (if your forks can take it) and just sticking with 180 on the rear, if you're feeling they are lacking in power.Shut up. And ride your bike.Originally posted by Jon

will a 203mm rotor work on a set of reba's or will i have to stick with 180mm,
i will also try better pads ' the 1's fitted are the organic so i will change to sintered will i also have 2 change the discs ..
