Compact chain suck

Anyone use a compact and have a problem with the chain coming off when going onto the small ring and then finding the chain getting trapped between the chainstay and chain ring?

Any tips out there to stop it or portect the chainstay

Try adjusting your front mech to stop the cain from moving to far inboard.

As for protecting the chainstay, wiggle (and im sure most LBS's and online retailers) do a transparent frame protector kit which consists of various sizes of clear patches.

Fit a Dogfang to the seat-tube. Pro teams use them as even with a properly adjusted mech a chain can unship if you hit a bump midshift.

Dog Fang. I have one of these but unfortunately it won't fit on one of my bikes (Focus Cayo) due to the exceedingly large bottom bracket area.
