Reading another thread about another pro being killed and the subsequent conversation about cycling helmets breaking on impact with an overweight mosquito ... got me thinking !!
I've only come off once and I'm not keen to repeat the incident (busted thumb, road rash etc .... so nothing really
).
When I think of all the protecive gear I used to wear when motorcycling, and now I'm tearing around doing 30-35mph (occasionally
) wearing lycra & sunglasses!!! ... does make you think.
On the other hand maybe it's best not to think too much ... gulp
