Gear cable colour? advise please

After being bored of my bland gear and brake cable housing, i am going to experiment with heatshrink tubing to change the colour. what do you think would look good on my bike (bearing in mind gold isnt available) :

    thats what i was thinking, a few people have said red, to accent with the forks and the rims

    I was thinking of red too. Or you could go purple to be really out there.
