Wilier Le Roi
After 8 years of very satisfying use it's time to replace my Colnago Dream frame.
I've seen a 2007 Wilier Le Roi at a great price and wondered if anyone has experience of this frame. I found a few reports which suggested that it gave a harsh ride. Some other reviews said it was comfortable despite being very stiff, so I'm none the wiser. I like a bike with a responsive, racy feel and sharp steering rather than a mushy ride, but obviously appreciate a degree of comfort. My Colnago Dream has the full aluminium frame with steel fork rather than the later carbon fork and B-Stay rear end and while this gives a firm ride I wouldn't say it is harsh. I don't race but do around 150 miles per week of spirited, recreational/fitness cycling with rides of up to 4 hours. I hate to splash out on the Le Roi then find that the bike beats me up every time I go for a ride. Can anyone advise?
