I use Fox Float fluid on my (Fox) forks.

I use this on my 'Tora' forks...

    Taken from the 'SRAM' website...
Apply fork oil, RedRum, or Teflon-based lubrication to the upper tube area nearest to the dust seals. Cycle the fork a few times to circulate the lubricant. You can even gently pinch the dust seal, nearest to the upper tube, and add some lubrication (mentioned above) to the inside of the dust seal. This will lubricate the foam ring. Wipe away any excess oil from the upper tubes and dust seals
    .

Stumpy, do you do similar with your 'Fox' forks, using the 'Fox Float Fluid'? If so, I'll get some and do the same with my 'Vanilla' forks.

that's what they told me to do when I bought the bike, I just wipe some fluid over the stanchions and rear shock when I remember. Only down side is that when it's dusty it does tend to stick to the forks.

Fork oil, or teflon wet chain lube.

Couple of drops on the seal next to the stanchion. Press on forks a few times. Wipe off excess. Repeat until excess oil is clean. Wip that off, away you go.

Sorry to jump on the thread guys, but a related note...

On my Suntour XCR-Lo forks, the instructions say to "clean tha stanchion tubes and dust seal area" after every ride.... is that just a wipe with a damp cloth then....?

Because it says to "oild the dust seal area with teflon oil" after every 25 hours riding......

    Cheers guys.
