Because I've managed to bend the rear legs(or how do you call it those)
of my steel XC bike frame I'm buying in a few weeks new frame.
Ht1 is an XC frame and Ht2 is an XC & AM frame.

http://www.ram-bikes.com/ht2.html
My main concerne is that Ht1 is heavier and more bulky, and Ht2 is more
skinny and lighter but they say it's a AM rigg too.

So what should I do? Buy the cheaper, bulky ht1 or
the more expensive skinny ht2 frame

Sorry, but in Macedonia there is only RAM bikes(frames) to buy.
Yes there is a Trek, GT, Specialized and Scott importers in
Macedonia but they only sell bikes, not frames.

Maybe I would buy diferent frame but I don't have enough money to pay for postage.

having seen a Ram frame a few years back i would look at anything else. Unless they have made big improvements.

But as you that is your only choice get what seems the best.

Not many people on here will have actually seen any of the bikes/frames from RAM, but ifi remember correctly they did have an XC frame that seemed to work well.

A friend of mine had Ht1 wich is an XC frame and
he was using it for DH and jumps arround 4ft.
After 8months of usage he cracked only the head tube.
The reason was, from RAM recomended max travel 100mm,
but he put the day he bought Tora 302 U-turn wich is 130mm.

Buy the way Ht2 is also a AM frame.

I would say that the main reason wasn't the fork, it was the fact that he was doing DH and 4 ft drops on an XC frame! XC frames aren't really designed for any drops/jumps at all.

  • There are frames for sale on Macedonia
    not just RAM
I do own a Ram frame but if you know the bike people of Macedonia you know where to find the frames that might meet your needs.

If not in stock they will order for you and two weeks it should arrive in Macedonia

It depends on your tastes and needs!!!!!!!
