I've only got one RAB on my route into work and its on a fairly busy narrow road so getting into primary can be a bit of a pain. Not this morning!!
A big thanks to the guy in the BT van who left me plenty of space to get into position, get through the RAB and then let me hold primary for a few hundred metres afterwards to safely pass an truck parked at the side of the road then didn't squeeze past after passing.
I so was taken aback by this act of good driving I saluted as he went past!!!, even more shocked that he gave a friendly toot on his horn as well..
So thank you WVM.

I had a car reverse about a foot the other day to help me squeeze through a traffic jam. Thought it was really nice of him so I waved and said thanks.*´¨)

I had a WVM do the same thing to me the other day, kept behind at a nice distance because he could see there was no point overtaking (and going the same speed 20yards ahead). Why can't they all do that?
And a few weeks ago I had a massive juggernaut do the same thing for some distance, so when I got up to the RAB and was waiting I turned and gave him a nod of thanks and the thumbs-up, which he returned. Warms your heart it does!
I think it's really worth showing your appreciation for these efforts.I've forgotten my PIN for the pain barrier.0 -

Definitely. Gives everyone a warm fuzzy feeling. Positive reinforcement and all that...0 -

Giving me a warm fuzzy feeling just reading about it
Treat others as you'd like to be treated, and show your appreciation....It matters

Top effort all round - I like to think the WVM isn't a cyclist, just an enlightened soul who appreciates that we're all just trying to get to work in a vast and mysterious collaborative endeavour."Consider the grebe..."0

I'm gonna go for roundabout.
Unless there was a rabbit in the road??
Yep, its a roundabout.
There was a fair bit of good driving this morning but this was the best example I've seen in a long time.
I'm with you Claash, closet cyclist for sure, it was nice and warm this morning so I'll guess he was wishing he was doing the same.0 -
interesting. was only discussing the subject of BT drivers the other day with the OH. It's one company who's drivers have never caused me any problems.
Bus drivers OTOH...0
