Warped Disk or poor brakes?

Okay Okay so I'm guessing by now that you get used to questions where answers already exist, I have done a bit of searching but didn't find what I needed, but if there is already a post can you point me towards it. Cheers.
Right here's the jist, I bought an Giant XTC SX 2006 a year ago or so and I 'think' (being the operative word there) that I am having problems with my front and rear (not so bad) disk brakes (Giant standard MPH). Basically I have adjusted the pads (using the dial on the levers) so that they're as far open as possible, I have fiddled with the mounts trying to adjust them so I don't get lots of rub on the front rotors, BUT I still do. Now this is just plain annoying as I have to depress the lever quite far to get some real stopping action! Is this a case of heat warped rotors (I can visibly see rotor wobble) or a poor brake system? I'm finishing uni next week so I will be earning, so I'm not too fussed if I am going to have to buy new disk systems (If so I'm off to the gear advice forum).
Any advice or direction would be much appreciated, cheers. Jared.

if you have a look in the tech links sticky you will find 2 how to straighten warped discs.
but first have a look to you hubs and that the bearings are in good condition."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
