Nice little thread to read over, however the only time I have really noticed a big increase in the number of riders on my commute was during the tube strike last year! It was murder in London at the traffic lights as suddenly there where loads of cyclist, on their first commute, waiting to ride off at what seemed like a snails pace!
Luckily I have only really had one site that I work on that has become troublesome to the point of being awkward to park my bike, apart from being blocked in the other day near canary wharf - but then I should have known better then to use the over parked central bike racks, found one about 10 yards further in the opposite direction that was practically deserted and by a busy-ish bus stop to deter miscreants!0 -
Loads more bikes than usual in our underground parking this morning...numbers are limited so there's still space :0)...There seemed to be more tasty bikes than usual....I was a bit like a kid in a sweetshop...almost like the winter hacks have been put away to be replaced by the good weather bikes...there was also a few very sexy SS locked up down there. Ho hum maybe when the bike to work scheme rolls round again, I'll upgrade0
