Tubeless tyre puncture advice

I've had Maxxis Ignitor LUST tyres on my XT WH-775 tubeless wheels for about 4 weeks now. Had no problems with air loss until the weekend when I realised the front tyre had gone down. Pumped it back up and it was back in the same state after 48hrs.
I'm assuming it's got a thorn or something in it (it's seated on the rim properly, made that mistake when I first put the tyres on).
Currently not running any slime in the tyre, just ordered some Geax tyre sealent to try. Any advice on sorting this out / avoiding future puncture and air loss? Don't want to resort to a tube yet.
Cheers

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

No need to resort to a tube. I run Ignitor LUSTs with Stans in and have not had a puncture in 9 months.
I once got a bad puncture in an old tubeless tyre (Michelin Mountain) which the sealant wouldn't repair so I put a tube in on the trail (I always carry one just in case) and when I got home I stuck a couple of regular patches on the inside of the tyre (snakebite).
Piccie shows one patch on and other hole by my thumb (need to scroll right)

I use Wheel Milk (liquid latex) and top up with 50ml every 2-3 months. After the 2nd top up, I take them off and give them a good clean out, and patch up any obvious damage as per Splasher from the inside.
Rather than carry a tube, I keep an old SPesh 2Bliss tyre in my Camelback, along with 2 16g CO2 cartridges and a can of Hutchinson Fast Air. Whilst I do not want to tempt fate, so I will say that I have been able to help out several of mates who run both tubed and tubeless wheelsets.
Fitting Note - Remember to use some soapy water and inflate to 60PSI, and check that beads are perfectly seated before riding / adding sealant through a removable valve core !0
