I have XT dual control.Very light shifts, plus the ability to brake and upshift simulataneously.I found them completely intuitive,to use even though I had previously used rapid fire.Disadvanatge is that you are tied into having Shimano brakes, and it makes upgrading a lot more costly, becuase you will need to budget for shifters, and possibly a mech aswell.(DCL works best with rapidrise,so both left and right hands are working downwards for upshiftts.)2006 Giant XTC

True, but this is less likely to happen as you can move the levers further inboard,as you only have one clamp, compared to a conventional set up.Also the levers are also shifters of course,so there is vertical play aswell as lateral play to allow for shifting ,unlike conventional shifters........2006 Giant XTC

I have just had these units fitted to my Scott mc40 and i think they are great really light to shift up and down plus the added feature of multi shifting.I cannot fault them but as always it`s down to you , see if you can try a pair out at your local dealer....0
