Creaking Brooks saddle

Hi,

I'm a couple of hundred miles into breaking in a new Brooks B17 saddle, and it's started creaking loudly on every pedal stroke. I've tried re-positioning it, washing it, oil top and underside with Proofide, but still it creaks.

Any ideas ?

    Tighten up the clamp bolts underneath.

    I'm not a Brooks afficianado (although I have served my time on a B17 prior to discovering the joys of the Terry Liberator) but I do know that they set the tension very carefully and you mess with it at your peril. Proofiding everything and greasing the seatpost clamp prior to assembly are the usual suggestions.
