What grade of Loctite?

I've stripped my bike down and some of the fasteners etc.. have blue loctite on them. I'm in the process of building it back up and am going to replace the loctite, but there's a few different types.

There appears to be 2 main blue grades, 242 and 243. Any idea which is better? From what I've seen on the web, the only difference appears to be that 243 is oil tolerant whereas 242 needs the parts to be cleaned first. Is this right?

Also, Screwfix do a thread locking adhesive, anyone here tried it?
