Summer or winter?

The weather is good in summer but you get hot and sweaty

In winter your cooler and when you come off the fall isn't so hard because of the mud!

one of those summer days when its really sunny and nice but there is a high breeze, but just the right strength breeze if you get what i mean.

Winter is much more challenging and you get to have fun on night rides too.

    Winter or September to April.

With all the modern fabrics and gear you can keep warm and dry all day throughout the cold wet months. When the hot weather comes you can not get away from it and it zaps you of energy but is good for the leisurely Sunday rides.

Bit of both really, in the summer it's nice to get out and about in decent weather, but the trails can get very dusty around here but that kinda adds to the fun...

In the winter it's quite cool, which helps... But the mud can be too thick.. On the plus side the vegetation dies back, which proves to be very usefull...

Just because I want to be different.

I overheat too quickly once the temperature gets into double figures so long summer rides are tricky, I tend to go in the evening once it's cooled down a bit. But in winter it's sometimes tricky to get motivated to go out, especially if it's really cold. Autumn seems to have the right balance.

To be honest I like all seasons for different reasons (accidental crap rhyme there).

Summer - great to not have to wear too much, dryness is good but can be dusty.
Autumn - a bit cooler, trees look amazing, still dryish
Winter - feels a bit more "different" to be out on a bike. Like the challenge of riding in foul conditions. Roads and trails much quieter.
Spring - coolish but usually quite pleasant.

I'll be out whatever the weather, different types of weather make for different riding experiences.

Just covers the bike and makes for slippery conditions. Our local open cast mines get super dusty in dry weather.

This is a nicked pic someone took as an example - me gaying around a rather dusty ex mine:

I love the mud, I think it makes it much more fun and challenging. Just an ar*e cleaning the thing afterwards!

I also find the "trails" are quieter, which I like.

i cannot abide winter riding, it is slow and hard going and the bike requires more attention and i fall off even more and i find it harder to make myself get out and ride (yes i know im not a "real" biker, bore off)

i think winter riding is a completely different beast to dry riding. cant wait for it to clear up abit around here, nd then to get posted to somewhere with slopes/hills. 8)
