Mavic rims

New to road bikes . . .

In the great scheme of things where do Mavic CXP22 rims fit?

I guess they are a budget rim, but how good are they?

    They are alright - double eyeletted, which is good. The braking surfaces are milled, which is good (avoids juddering as the pads cross the weld) but they aren't all that thick - meaning that they don't last as long as some at that mass. To be honest that's only an issue if you are too lazy to clean them off during the winter (like me) and/or use them in pretty mucky conditions. You are pretty safe with Mavic.
