Giro Stage 4 *spoiler*
Well, I'm not spoiling much but it just said on the cyclingnews feed that Di Lica doesn't use a radio?
I'd not noticed but I wonder why? Is it a case of "when you're this full of gear you don't need a radio" or is he just old skool?
Oh, well done RCS for managing to annoy the riders for the 2nd year in a row with a rubbish transfer from an island.

Given "il Killer's" hormonal composition, its probably because Fisher-Price don't do a "My First Race Radio" that works on the Giro frequencies.'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0

OK, this stuff has gone waaaaay too far. What the heck does not having a radio have to do with drugs?! In fact, the opposite is likely to be true if there were any correlation. But seriously, have cycling fans gone so crazy that when they hear a guy rides without a radio in his ear, they think "No radio?! My god he must be drugged to the hilt!" WTF?!
BTW, there are a number of riders who don't like having a radio in their ear.0 -
I was only joking.
I'm curious why he doesn't use a radiotis all. Not using one seems odd for a GC challenger.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
Are Liquigas giving away the jersey ? Watching it on a Norwegian stream at work so i don't have Harmon's amazing insight to everything :roll:0
-
RAI's graphics are rubbish - they put up some time gaps about once every half an hour.
There's still 40 odd kms to go, so they could still catch him. Don't think Liquigas intend to give the jersey away - Pellizotti doesn't really have a chance of getting it back, so they ain't gonna give it away deliberately.0 -

Apparently Verbrugge is 18 mins down on GC.0 -
Verbrugge just might do this. The one thing that can help is that little (little by pro standards) hill towards the end can help limit the peloton's gains by drafting. It's gonna be close but he just might do it. WOW!0

Very roughly, you need ~ 10 seconds per kilometre to hold off the bunch. However Verbrugghe has been out for the last 100km on his own and peleton are presently taking back more than 10 seconds per kilo - touch and go.'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0

6 mins in the lead with 27km to go, I think he'll hang on.
I don't think they're chasing that hard.0 -
One question: when the car hands a rider a bar to eat, why don't they open the wrapper for them? Why hand it to them so the rider has to open it with their teeth?0
-
Still think he'll be caught. The peloton hasn't woken up yet. That climb will do him in.0

will be interesting to read the stage results to see how much more time he now loses over the bunch. sounds like he's buggered alright.0

25km - Around two minutes and counting...his lead is being eaten up faster than a buffet at a wedding
Tee-hee!

This was interesting from cyclingnews commentry
Shane Stokes of Cyclingnews spoke with the winner of the 2007 Vuelta a España before the race. "I am feeling okay at the moment, but it is before the start," Denis Menchov of Rabobank joked. "My legs are getting better and better. I think that stage seven will be the first big day. It is not the most important stage, but it is the first one that matters."
He said that he will not compete again before the Tour de France. "After this race, I will have one week rest and then I will see some of the Tour stages."Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
Bettini attacks. Is it another badly timed one ?0

I'm trying to remember, LOL
something along the lines of having to attack like 20 times before 1 will work out. or only 1 in 20 will work... you get the gist of it.0 -
Don't have video coverage - is Cav still at the pointy end or is he falling backwards again.? I have a feeling words were had at the High Road dinner table last night.'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0
