It was crazy this morning

Not sure what is going on, but traffic on my route into work seemed to be far worse than normal (as was the case yesterday too). It is always busy, but not this busy. To make matters worse, people are gradually getting their bikes out of their sheds and thus the number of cyclists has sky rocketed too. Of course the problem is that with those increased numbers one is bound to see some idiot cyclists. They were everywhere today. One was particularly stupid cutting between cyclists and nearly causing more than one crash. He clearly didn't care about the safety of anyone else (and maybe not even his own).

To add to the above I've now seen 2 crashes in 2 days (that's 2 more than I have seen in a good 2 or 3 years). Yesterday I saw a turning taxi take out a motorbike (at low speed thankfully) on the Brompton Road. Today there was a crash involving cyclists on the bridge I cross (the one to the east of Battersea park in London - can never remember its name). I've no idea what happened to cause it, but thankfully I got the impression no-one was badly hurt.

Lots of cyclists this morning including one overweight sweating guy in Assos on a Record equipped Colnago who I dropped like a stone round the park

Also hello to the lady who happily pedalled across the red light at Holborn/Kingsway, I don't think you even noticed the guy on the R6 who went through on amber at speed and actually crossed behind you. My heart was in my mouth for a second.

Eat My Dust

I noticed a higher idiot count this morning as well, especially the guy who overtook me as I was signalling right on the aproach to a RAB. I was almost on the white lines in the middle of the road so he was completely on the other side of the road, The oncoming car had to slam his brakes on as the idiot in the VW swerved across in front of me and took the first left of the RAB. Complete wan_er driving.
