I've just looked at the sizing on Probike.com and it reckons that someone with a 40-42 inch chest needs an XL. I've never been XL in my life. I'm 40 inch chest, v slim, 30 inch waist. Anybody else got one of their tops and can advise on sizing. The last thing i need is acres of excess material slowing me down even more than normal...It'll be quicker to walk otherwise.

I'll be able to advise you in a day or two. I faced exactly the same question, and couldn't bring myself to order an XL. I ordered a large, which ProBike say was despatched yesterday. When it arrives I'll let you know how it sizes up.

I have a Castelli jacket in large, which is snug, but the right size.

Prologo jersey has arrived - good speedy delivery - and the large is fine. For me, certainly, the XL would be too big, so I'd suggest trying the large.

i bought a castelli scia long sleeve top a couple of months back. normally i'm a small size (and wear dhb size small) but went for a medium and it was much too small so ended up with a large. it's still pretty tight across the chest. whatever you are, trade up at least one size.
  • Thanks for the advice. I'll go for the large.
