Hi, I would like replace my existing clamp with a quick release - only I'm sure not what size!
Where/how do I measure ?
Also can I use wheels that have disc mounts, but continue to use v brakes?
Sorry to be such a roadie numpty!!
Thanks!

What bike do you have? Some have seat tube collars, others have integrated fittings - its a case of replacing the bolt for a QR set up, or in the foist instance, replacing the collar. You do need the right size!
Yes, you can use disc hubs with V brakes, but you need to ensure the rim is V brake compatible and not disc specific.0 -
I have a Spesh Stumpjumper - womens specific.0

Do you know the year and exact model (ie comp, FSR, etc?)
I think they use a 34.9 mm seat tube collar (as most have a 30.9mm seat post except carbon frames). Some you can just change the bolt on the collar, but not if it has internal threads. I am guessing somehing like this will do:

Which actually has interchangable QR and bolt as the collar has no internal threads but an external nut.0
