Where one lead the other parties have to follow, don't want to miss the bandwagon
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Not excusing the actions, but what appalling biased journalism........(but this is the Mirror!)

My first thought was that after them doing the same with his party leader not so long ago it would be likely the press would follow him too soon after he became mayor.

Where is the bias? They could have quite easily focused on the fact he didn't know the route to work (is he a real cyclist?).

Not excusing him either but Boris going through red lights is not a new thing.

Even the Evening Standard has reported him doing it several times.

the Mirror and Sunday Mirror are as big a pile of rubbish rags as the NOTW and the Sun. Yes he shoulnd't have done it, and its a bit stupid when he's just become very high profile. Somehow though I don't think we'll see the other side of the coin from the Mirror next week where they film car drivers speeding, cutting up other road users, failing to indicate, talking on phones (Clarkson aside) and generally endangering life.

I suspect Ken Livingstone has been known to be in a car that did something illegal once but I bet they didnt publish that!

Exactly - and whilst I don't condone RLJ'ing at least he appears to be doing it fairly safely and not jumping at v busy junctions. I'm just pleased that we have a Mayour who is willing to get on his bike, Ken never did.

Agreed and TBH i see nothing wrong with the way he went thru the red light in the video. Don't know about the other ones.

Like others have said, at least he's on a bike. That takes balls on its own, cycling on those streets.

The Local news ITV (IIRC) were also repeatedly making a point that he was NOT wearing a helmet. Don't they realise it is NOT compulsory. Personally i would not ride in Central London without a helmet but would not persecute someone else for not wearing one.

Good on you Boris for still cycling. Just watch out for the Bendy Buses . Ken may be driving one

Yeah, live in windsor qand up there every so often. Was at Swiss Cottage on Sunday and thats where the 'I'd never ride in London' came from. Finchley Road is an utter nightmare.

I suppose around certain places its going to be a doddle.
