Tried fitting some new pads to above brakes today, followed instructions etc but no way will disc (rotor) fit in gap between new pads.
Pistons have retracted as far as possible although they do seem to creep back slightly from furthest postion.
Anybody had similar problems...
Thanks.

not had that problem before, are they the right pads for a start?? hayes nice resin or sintered, ive had something similar, with the rotor grinding all the time till the pads bed in but not so the rotor wont fit, try push the pistons back with the pads in place and see if it makes a difference at all, if not take it your LBS0

When i got my Hayes' this had me stumped too...
You have to reset the pistons with a flat bladed screwdriver, or something similar. Put the pads in then slide the 'driver between them and work it side to side, pushing the pistons back (gently...)
In my experience, the pistons might not look like they will go any further apart, but if you keep working at them it does work0 -
You do have to persevere with Nines - as you say you think that you've pushed the pistons back in, then they creep back out again. You've got to be patient! I find the best method is to work them back into the caliper body then hold them there for a few minutes. Do this two or three times and you should be in business.
Don't use new pads if you are going to use god1406's method! Use the old pads to push the pistons back in, then fit the new ones.0
