Sizing a time trial frame...

Looking into getting a cheap TT frame (in fact, I have a wanted ad over in the ads if you have anything), but looking into sizing and geometry, I'm getting a bit confused.
I want a time trial bike, not a triathlon bike. Most stuff I can find is about tri bikes, and they talk a lot about the transition to running.
I'm pretty flexible. I can get a nice flat back, and a good TT position, I think. I normally ride a 60cm road bike, but that's down to long legs.I am only 6 foot.
What sort of thing should I be looking at? Something with a steep seat angle (like the 78degree ones that triathletes seem to like), or something close to a road geometry (like an old TCR aero which just has the same geometry as the TCR road bike). How much length do I need to drop on the top tube?
Unfortunatly, I'm not in much of a position to experiment with this stuff, so I need to get the right size (ish) first time.
