i have been having problems with chain slip on my 4x bike when I put the power down.....I have tryed retensioning the gear cable and i am still having problems.....I was wondering if taking a few links out of the chain would increase the tension.....or would this just muck up the gearing? If so, does anybody have any other solutions

Google Sheldon Brown plus worn cassette - he has some great diagrams (plus for the rest of the drivetrain too)0
