I've just got a message on my phone from a guy saying he's from MBR, he said they're trying to raise the awareness of the mag and for £1 I could have the next 3months issue, no commitment. He just wanted me to set up a direct debit on the phone, does this sound genuine, anyone else had this??

I wouldn't touch it - there is no way MBR would genuinely send out these text messages. Anyway, you can get a £23.40 subscription for 6 months with a free jacket worth £50 anyway!

Had same phone call, but was because I subscribe to MBR he was offering me another magazine for the next 3 months. Can't remember the name of the mag but was a generic cycling mag so wasn't interested anyway....

i asked them to send me paperwork to complete as I had to go out and did not have the time. Paperwork turned up 2 days later. It is a genuine offer, be warned though, if you do not cancel after 3 months your account will be debited £20 every 6 months

Ain't that the biggest bummer ever, i've just bought that jacket for £50, i got the get yourself seen green one because they didn't have the blue one to fit me, typical, :(:(:(:( I hope they don't have the Bell helmet or on-one forks next month, i've just got those too.
