Stuck seat post

To increase my output I went to raise my saddle a fraction but found the seatpost to be stuck solid, even after attempting several home techniques including soaking with GT85 and hitting it upwards with a hammer. The frame is carbon and the post is aluminium. Does anyone have any other further suggestions? My local bike shop has posed the idea of clamping the seatpost into a vice, and then grabbing hold of the frame and twisting, but I’m not too keen on that idea!
If it just cannot be moved, does anyone know of any other ways to create the same affect of raising the saddle and straightening the leg out?
Cheers,
Mike

What the bike shop suggests is standard fare when other methods have failed. After that its sawing it out, cutting down the post with a hacksaw blade into three sections. But I see why you are worried with carbon. If they are careful the first method should be fine.0

Soak it in a plus gas or something similar for a few days then try heating it with a hair dryer, worked for my carbon post stuck in a aluminium frame..0

Plus Gas is ace! Potent though. And it stinks lol0

Drill a hole through the seatpost and put a small metal bar through the hole and twist it, will ruin your seat post though.0
