ok decided against a road bike as i go down pot holed bridle ways and canal towpaths but also want to do road...but for fitness not speed.

im looking at this anybody got one

    i cant use a road type bar due to neck and back problems.......

    well that biike is essentally a MTB with road tires and wheels. thus it should be fairly swift while the forks will take some of the jarring out.

    the bike doesn't have that far forward postion so hopefully will be okay for your back. i'd be tempted to try before buying though. you can get bikes with a more sit up and beg postion, which can handle some rought stuff.

    hi i already ride mountain bikes which are fine so i suppose this will be quite similar.....for the price i suppose the spec seems ok and it wont get as much punishment as my mountain bike gets as it wont be doing any rough off road.

    anybody out there own a gt hybrid by any chance
