Has anyone had experience of taking a flightdeck lever apart? I had a cable shear off at the the lever end on the Soras on my Tricross and it is now semi-jammed with bits of cable.
I started trying to dismantle the lever but gave up - last time I tried, some years ago, the sprung-loaded contents exploded and fired gear-related shrapnel around the garage and I had to fork out for a new pair - want to avoid that this time if possible.

Yep - lots of pingfuckit moments taking those things apart! Try a thin magnetised screwdrive first to try and coax the bits of cable out. Also, If you know any doctors, try and blag a set of tissue (or jewellers) forceps - they are very good for this sort of job.0
