Hi, I'm currently running Avid Juicy 3s and recently they're not stopping me enough on some of the stuff I'm riding. Not a huge problem but it's always niggling at the back of my mind so I've been trying to work out how to get more stopping without spending too much more cash.

I'm just about to get some Rebas fitted and get a service at my LBS (yeah I'm lazy) so that'd be an ideal time to do it if it's likely they'll fit. So, I'm wondering if I can go up a rotor size from 160mm to 180mm (on the front at least)?

yes. buy disc and correct adaptor. or just tell the LBS and get them to do it at the same time as the fork.

Thanks a lot for that. I'll forwarn the LBS and hopefully the increased rotor size will slow me down a bit more in emergencies and stop me throwing out a foot to slow down at times.

If you haven't had the brakes long you may still be waiting some time for them to bed in, i use a rear juicy 3 and after about 6 months its finally at its optimum.
Lost in my own mind, slowly loosing control of what I once was.

LOL... after 3 months I put new pads in. Are you sure you bedded them in in the first place?

    I've moved from 185F/160R, to 203F+R.

Pretty good improvement on stopping power, especially on long DH runs, where you're constantly braking.
