Ok, I've got about £1.5k or thereabouts to spend and i'm down to a shortlist and amping to get the credit card out, but i can't decide between the following bikes:
Orange 5
Trek Fuel EX8
Marin Rift Zone
Kona Dawg
What do you think is the best bet. I do a fair bit of XC so need to be able to go uphill as well as down but need something that can get airborne and land. I'm 6.1" and about 12.5 stone.
Are there any other recommendations in this range?

Don't see many GTs being mentioned lol. Worth testing, ie last years 'bike of the year' GT Idrive 5 2.0, or a GT Force.0

I've got a GT Avalanche 1.0 now which has been excellent, fautless. But now i want to get a full suss, because i can.
I'll have a look at the GT range.
Anyone heard good stuff about the Trek Remedy? are they available yet?0 -
I know when you're trying to narrow down choice, people throwing in more bikes isn't helpful, but at least have a look at the Cannondale Prophet 2. A cracking bike for 1400."Internet Forums - an amazing world where outright falsehoods become cyber-facts with a few witty key taps and a carefully placed emoticon."0
