Hi all, just got back into biking after years and having problems with my bike. ive got a saracen mantra with shimano altus gears and im having problems with the front gearchange i cant seem to get them set up right and ive got no manual for it, so can anybody tell me the best way to set them up. serves me right i suppose for buying it from halfrauds. cheers.

Front derailers are fiddly, even for seasoned mechanics sometimes! May just be a case of needing more cable tension (quite common, they do bed in) or setting up from scratch. If you go to the Park Tools website there is a step by step guide.0 -
Thanks for the quick reply will have a look and give it a go, think i need too set it up from scratch because ive been fiddling with it already
