probably the kind you'll encounter ona normal xc ride it dont look like its designed for jumping06 Kona Blast with RS Tora solo airs0

Not too much i would think."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

None. It is an XC bike0
-
Max 2-3ft I would recomen.
The frame is 7005 Al, so that would take the jumps,
but not so sure for the other parts like the fork and axels.
For long life of that bike no more than 2ft will be ok.0 -
so you dont think it will have trouble with glentress red route then?0
-
No problem. Mine is much worst than your and I use
it for arround 2ft jumps. So far everithing is functioning well.
You can see it at Pinkbike. My profile is Xtreem.0 -
Hey, by the way don't blame me if don't know to
jump propertly and something breaks.
And the bike is not desined for jumping, so there is no guaranty that
you won't break something.
You are jumping at your own risk.
Sorry about the break - brakes words. I'm from Macedonia.0 -

What's that got to do with anything? Bikes built for jumping are reinforced around the stress points, bikes built for XC cut weight from where ever possible. The grade of aluminium won't make a vast amount of difference.
If you're smooth over drops/jumps your bike should be fine, try and avoid harsh drops to flat etc.0 -
its "breaks" not "brakes"0

my bike under guarentee still, i bent the handle bars doing a 10ft drop jump, the landing was quite smooth but the bars ar straitas graham norton.
got em replaced free of charge and i got an upgrade.
i learn frm my mistakes, i am doing alot of trail riding and treking at the mo, i thought id give jumping a rest as it was nakering my bike, i just wondered weva 4 fters would be ok on the trails

10ftLOLZORS betcha ridn SLOPSTYLZORZ two huh?0

I really don't think the bike will take 4 ft drops - it's just not designed for it. By doing jumps you will void the warranty anyway. I am amazed you got it repaired uder warranty the first time, most places would basically tell you to f off - doing 10ft drops on an XC bike is just stupid."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. 10ft on an XC bike?! You are VERY lucky to get a way with a warranty replacement, never mind your own health.0
-
yh well i know that now
im just glad they repared it for me
thanks for the advice0 -
You are insane. I said 2-3ft jumps not 10ft.
Even bikers with DH bikes don't jump that high.
The future doesn't look too bright for that bike.0 -
the truth isn't very abundant either, methinks.0
