FSA don't make a 1.5" convertor headset or 1.5" headset with sealed bearings, unlike their Pig Pro DH in 1.125" which has well sealed cart. bearings
the Big Fat Pig and Big Fat Pig R tend to crap out quite quickly as a result, and are generally a poor choice of headset, despite the low selling price
with a 1.5" headtube, you don't want to be removing your old headset and installing a new one on a regular basis (its a tight fit) so its best to upgrade to a decent sealed unti
I use the Cane Creek Double Xc (use the Double X for 1.5" fork steerers) and its a good tough unit with well sealed cart. bearings, and with the added bonus of having replacement bearings available for just £12 each
expect to pay around £80 for a Cane Creek Double X or Xccheck out my riding - www.robcole.co.uk Banshee Factory Team rider, Da Kine UK Team rider, www.freeborn.co.uk www.eshershore.com0 -

this is the 1.5-1.125 FSA pig reducer.
cheers rob Im wanting a hope or CC Double but the LBS cant get the 1.5 pig cups out - so unless i buy a special tool Im stuck with them - hence looking at pig reducer (same cups as standard 1.5 pig). Its a new frame that came with them in...
are the 1.5 cup removal tools pretty common place? LLakes havent got 1 either :x0 -
ahh been on FSA site the pig reducer is caged only bearings not sealed cartridge,
looks like ill have to buy the special tool or try and whack out with an old seatpost or somet :roll:0
