I have had Mono Minis (F160/R140) on my bike since I bought it (2005) but lately I've had some problems like the pistons sticking & them working fine one ride & crap the next.
So a few months ago I bought a brand new set of Juicy 5's off a damaged shop display bike for £50 :)
This bikes frame got badly dented but the parts were perfect unused condition so no problems there.

Although I like the fronts stopping power a lot, the rear is just too much for my style of riding (manuals in particular), I have to be able to drag the brake lightly & just a touch locks it & sends the front straight down.
I assume a large part of why it's doing it is the larger disk (160 F&R) so I want to just use the 140mm rotor from my mono's on the rear.
Can I get a mount adaptor to take the 140 ? Or can I modify the existing adaptor to accommodate the 140mm disk ?

They are the old ones that don't use an adaptor, you bolt the caliper direct to the frame & use little shims to space the pads central to the disk rotor.

Avid do do an adaptor. or should do one as they offer some of the brakes with 140mm rear option.

part number 11.5376.302.900 CPS Mounting Bracket Extruded Front 160mm/Rear 14 0mm Rotor but any front 160mm IS to Post adaptor will do.

This is what I think I need but will it be compatible with the Juicy ? I assume it will.

Heres a picture of the space I have to play with, the front is very tight but the rear looks like I could drop it enough to take that lower mount without hitting anything. So I just really need expert confirmation.

that hope one might fit the caliper. but as i said the Avid one, as above, WILL work.
