Garmin 705

Has anyone else had a problem with getting their Garmin to 'pair' with the cadence sensor?

I bought the Edge 705 on Saturday, rode with it Sunday and Monday (all working fine), now it can't pick up cadence even though I have tried to 'pair' it again with the GSC 10 cadence unit!

As with any of these things, the manufactures claim they have not been having any problems with the product, but my father has the Edge 305 and has the same problem!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated (don't wont to send it back for repair after three days).

yes, I have had all sorts of problems. I had this problem at first too.

The solution is to go to the settings menu and page down (it's not obvious the menu runs longer than one page) until you get to "ANT+sport" then make sure the cadence sensor GCS-10 is selected.

Also make sure the little red led flashes when your crank goes round, otherwise the sensor may not be close enough.

Thanks, I have already done that but when I scan it doesn't do anything (even if I move the pedals).

What's strange is that the little light flashes green and red to indicate that the sensor is working and my edge picked up somebody else's sensor when I rode home last night. However, it will not pick up mine!

I guess I will have to do without the cadence, a bit of a con though!
