I have started to commute to work (25 mile round trip) and desperatly need a new bike. my journey involves a few bumpy roads and up and down quite a few kerbs. I am looking at the Marin Bike (muirwoods 29er) as a possible .
Anyone got any ideas or pointers
regards
Stuart

Isn't riding on the pavement for 5 year olds?0

Yep, they're allowed on pavements too.
I think a cyclocross bike might be the answer, considering the distance you are going. There have been a few threads on here recently about them so have a read:

Doesn't matter, it's still illegal. Quote attrib. Magnatom, btw., though he seems to have taken that video down.0

you should be in primary position of the North Circular Road at 2am with a copy of cycle craft strapped to your arse. you'll have nothing to worry about. :roll:0

At 2am its like a race track on the NCR, I think i will just stick to the cycle lanes and footpath.
Think i will go for the muirwoods 29er as its number 6 on the telegraph top 50 bikes..http://independent.net-genie.co.uk/Outd ... ycles.html0
