How to adjust my Avid Juicy 3s

For some strange reason someone living in my block felt the need to undo my rare quick release wheel. I don't know how long it had been like that but when I came to use the bike, I found that the wheel was not fixed into its bracket. When I tried to put it back, I was met with some resitance from the break pads that seemed to have come closer together. I forced them further apart with a blunt instrument and then managed to fit the wheel back on. Now I have the rare wheel on, but it feels like the breaks are semi engaged because of the pads still making contact.

If someone knows the Avid Juicy 3s personaly, I really could do with some help in figuring out which bolt if any at all will allow me to bring the pads further away from the wheel. Riding with the breask applied isn't fun : )

Squeeze them on fairly hard a few times while riding? They should readjust automatically.

Edit: I take no responsibility if you fly over the bars and land on your face when you do this :P

Try the old elastic bands round holding the levers overnight. The self adjust gubbins seems to work like magic 8)

Section 6 and associated diagram here should help you, if not then the full manual can be found here. Its an easy job as long as your rotor is true, sometimes takes a little patience though.

    easier way ALOT EASIER.
    From the juicy 3 manual.
squeeze the brake pad 5-6 times for one secind then hold the leaver back for 5 seconds i tried it after doing same as you works a treat, to prevent this, when you get the brakes you get that red plastic spacer between the pads when you remove the wheel put it betwwen the pads (its a spacer) it prevents your pads from adjusting.
Lost in my own mind, slowly loosing control of what I once was.
