what you actually wanting to do. fit a brake to a cannondale or to another bike?

    Google A2Z brake adaptors.

I want to fit a disc brake to a Muddy Fox alu sport frame. It has 2 holes near the dropout similar to in the picture. I thought that this adaptor looked neater than the A2Z one.

Is it just a cannondale system then?

TBH it looks like a home made jobby. Or it is a dale specific one.

Is welding a disc mount on to the seat stay, as if the bike came with it on, a viable option? I know someone who does welding and could probably do it for free! If it would work of course. Thoughts?

Would need to heat treat the frame afterwards. Not worth it.

Try and get the right adaptor.

nope as you will then need to have the frame heat treated and repainted. oh and you will need to gusset and strengthen the frame as it will not be strong enough. cheaper to buy a new frame.
