Apparently sitting down to put your socks on is one of the first signs of middle age......so in the name of scientific research, do you sit down to put your socks on?

Well I don't stand up just to put my socks on to prove I'm young and fit!

If I'm standing I stand, If sitting I sit.

I have always sat down to put my socks on. It is only recently that I have sat down to take them off. I never seem to be in such a rush to get undressed now.

I like to mix it up. some times i do it laying on the floor (not really). but that'd be weird right??

I am 22; and I often sit down to put my socks on. You have made me worried that I am going to die young. Are you happy??? well?!?!?

I have to at the moment, due to my frickin broken collarbone

Try putting your socks on one handed - not impossible, but not a walk in the park either

To put them on I've always sat down. To take them off I don't bother how.

When my Dad was being treated for sciatica(sp) he was advised by the chiropractor to bring his foot up rather than moving his body down, ie lift your foot up onto a chair when doing shoelaces up etc.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

had to think for a minute there, then I remembered the daily struggle of balancing a 1.86m x 95 kilos lump on one size 6 foot to put socks on. The right sock is much easier, that only requires the balancing act to take place on a size 7 foot.

I'm 26. This morning I sat down to put my cycling socks on for practically the first time
