Avids and atmospheric pressure

Just got back from a nice long ride and both my brakes sticking real bad. They were fine on Monday (last time I went for a ride)when i went out.
I spoke to a friend who said it was because of the hot weather and high atmospheric pressure that brings the weather in and that they need to be bled.
This is my first bike with hydraulic brakes, so any help would be gratly appreciated.

Think about it... it must be bollox. You can set off in the morning at 5 degrees and temp warms up to 22 by the afternoon. Do I need to bleed my brakes half way round a course... of course not. Pressure changes all the time... it's called weather. Again I have never looked at the weather forecast and though must go bleed my brakes.0
