Deus Crankset...

Hi all,
I've just installed my new (2007) Race Face Deus Crankset, which looks awesome! I got the BB shell faced and the new BB put in at the LBS to make sure it was all done 'properly'. Anyway, putting the cransket in took a bit of effort, but now it's done.
The 'problem' is that there is quite a lot of friction in the crankset. I have never had to put a new crankset in before, and I was just wondering whether this is to be expected and after a ride everything will have freed up and all will be wonderful, or do I need to take a spacer or something out.
I'm just after a little reassurance!
Thanks for any input
