hi there every one,
i was wondering if anyone else had had problems with there hubs
ie the hub cracking at the point where the disc is bolted to the hub?
i have only had them 18 months.

were they torqued correctly? Sounds like classic overtightening, phone hope and see what they see, they are very reasonable.0

do you know what the torque setting should be ?0

now thats a crack
and there is me worrying about a few hairline ones !0 -

its a defective alloy billet (that hope have then used to CNC machine the hub shell)
we had exactly the same issue about 3 weeks back, for one of our customers
the hub was rebuilt with a brand new shell under warranty, and back to us within a week
that is good customer service
we sell most of our custom wheel builds with Hope Pro II hubs and our customer's cracked shell is the 3rd time i have seen this (twice in pics on internet, and only once in our shop) since the Pro II came out, so its not common....check out my riding - www.robcole.co.uk Banshee Factory Team rider, Da Kine UK Team rider, www.freeborn.co.uk www.eshershore.com0 -
How many pro II do you reckon they shift, assuming you've seen/heard of half of the crack failures, 6 hubs is bloody good going for them.0

Add me to the list of Pro 2 crackers, it's split as shown in Nick's picture's.
I was just riding along when i heard a 'tick', then i noticed my front wheel had become un-true.
Stopped to check and a small crack is there, thankfully it'll be a warrenty job.Scott Scale Custom

just to post an up date
took it back to lbs and they got intouch with hope
they said to them return the hub and they would sort it out
the hubs was sent back to my lbs and they had replaced body and bearings
this is outstanding service and why i only by hope products 0 -
it appears to only be slightly newer pro 2's that are cracking or is that just me?0
