marzocchi mx pro?

Hello I'm new.
Anyhow I've just built myself a new bike, first one in 10 years believe it or not. I've put some marzocchi mx pro lo's on it with a remote lock out. They work fine and lock ok, but if I compress the fork then use the lock out the fork stays compressed to the shorter length even when I realise the lock out. The only way to get them to rebound to full length again is to undo the two small alan bolts which hold the remote housing to the top of the fork. Surely this can't be right?
Also they do seem to be quite bouncy even with the rebound wound up to the max. Are they just quite spongy forks?

sounds like a problem with the remote. check the positioning..."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Does it say anything in the instructions about using the LO function when compressed?0

Unfortunatly I bought the forks second hand (never used) so I don't have the instructions.0
