hi, im currently using mtb shoes and pedals for my road bike.
How much difference would i notice if i swapped to proper roadie pedals and shoes?

There is a huge difference, but it depends if you're likely to need to walk (if stopping at cafe's etc). Walking with Look cleats is not the easiest (or most elegant) thing.Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0

Yes. I've had some very strange looks when walking my way to the counter at the Cafe.

I have just done exactly the same, there is quite a difference. you really do feel as though it makes a difference, more part of the bike.
Having said that, i am finding it quite diificult getting my feet out when I stop,
Is it that bit harder when the cleats are brand new? Do they wear in a little?0 -
dboden, it does get easier with time, and there is a tension adjuster on pedals to make it easier or harder to unclip.
Go on a good club run, 15/20 or so, and you dont look out of place hobbling through a cafe!0
